Step 1 – Go to your Profile Screen
Open the Instagram app on your smartphone, and you will see your Home feed. Tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner.

Step 3 – Go to Privacy Settings

Instagram will ask you one more time if you want to Switch to Private Account. Tap on the blue button with the text Switch to Private, and that is it. If you did everything correctly, switch next to Private Account will be turned on, and the color will change to blue.

From now on, other Instagram users that do not follow you can only see the number of your posts, followers, followings, and profile photo. If they want to see content that you share, you need to Confirm their following request.
